High-stakes Leadership – Experience Sharing of Public Services Delivery

To maintain high quality service is a great challenge for many organizations. Dr. Lo Siu-hang, Shane, USFA Executive Fire Officer, shared his experience to perform high-stakes leadership strategically and tactically for keeping up with high quality service delivery. The important elements of high-stakes leadership include manageability, enforceability of policies, and advancement with stakeholders. He laid emphasis on human assets, using examples from Fire Services Department's new challenges in fire prevention and law enforcement and community emergency preparedness for further explanation. In high-stakes leadership, action-centered management can well achieve the task, build the team and develop individuals to attain peak performance. At the end of the day, Dr Lo advised audience to be a good leader through humbly learning, unyielding practice, objective review and improvement.
